National Nature Restoration Plan: public consultation until August 19
What's at stake
€500 million a year and 407 nature restoration measures through 2030.
Being defended
The quality and ambition of the plan, through public participation in the consultation.
What's happening
The National Nature Restoration Plan is under public consultation until August 19, 2026, through the Participa Portal. The document sets out an investment of €500 million a year until 2030, spread across 407 measures in eight domains, from rivers and wetlands to forests and marine ecosystems.
It is the national transposition of the European Nature Restoration Regulation, and the public consultation is the formal moment when anyone can propose changes to the plan before its final version.
Organizations such as ZERO and SPEA have already submitted technical input, but the process is open to participation from any citizen.
